Jon
Interesting. At 7:05 WFMY says no spotter reports of anything. Don't they normally say "trained spotter" and not "public"?

Jon
Looks like a screw job for my area :gun_bandana: Nothing to chase within range Same... But you had your fun already with an NC tornado of a lifetime, I doubt you'll top that in NC!
jburns
Don't they normally say "trained spotter" and not "public"? The hippy dippy weather lady used spotter. EDIT Just read the "public" saw......before going off the air and back to golf. LOL
eyewall
Same... But you had your fun already with an NC tornado of a lifetime, I doubt you'll top that in NC! Not a chance in hell I will top that but even some good structure / lightning shots would have been good.
ORWX
Just heavy rain and frequent lightning here in oak ridge. No wind whatsoever. Looks like the storm has weakened quite a bit though. Picked up 2.95" from yesterdays storm, Was not home though!
UNCCmetgrad
Looks like northern Mecklenburg Co is set to get hit hard as the storms over Lincoln and Iredell counties look like thay are going to merge. Areas around Lake Norman better watch out over 45 minutes or so. Unless this line extends to the southwest I'm going to get missed.

Wow
Big storm closing in the LKN area. Near constant rumble of thunder and non stop lightning flashes against a sunset. Pretty cool sight.
CAD_Wedge_NC
That cell came through here with pea sized hail, 40mph winds and lots of CG lightning...........Nice way to end the weekend.
downeastnc
Looks like a screw job for my area :gun_bandana: Nothing to chase within range Well that line looks pretty nasty ATM hope it holds together so you can get some lightning shots at least. Maybe head towards Asheboro and find a nice open spot.
metalicwx366
This past week, had 2 severe thunderstorms tuesday. Thursday another and our county was under one for like 3 hours. Yesterday had 2 storms during the afternoon with a potent one during the evening. Those days had Pops of 30-40%. Today we had a 60% and not a drop lol. Still got the best storms I have seen this summer this past week especially the thursday storm. Winds were up to 60. The lightning was so intense with the storm last night. One flash made it look like it was literally daylight with how long it lasted. The upcoming week looks boring with no rain till friday.
Jon
Not a chance in hell I will top that but even some good structure / lightning shots would have been good. Speaking of, I just saw your video on NAT GEO...they're running that "WITNESS" episode at least twice tonight! A friend and I were watching it and I go "Don't open your door!" jburns
Just finishing up a nice storm here. Heavy rain for about 15 minutes. I would estimate wind gusts to around forty. Moderate lightening, a few nice and close. Still raining moderately and the thunder has moved off to the east.
NCSNOW
Storm getting ready to roll in big time. This will be the 3rd day in a row in my neck of the woods. The line seems to be picking up steam and hopefully will keep rolling east afterwards.
eyewall
The outflow is running out from the northern half of the line. That could spell the end for that segment.

FoothillsNC
Very nice today. Seems like a touch of Fall. I can tell the days are getting shorter....good riddance to this hot Summer. So, that makes back to back HOT Summers in the Southeast, and likewise, back to back cold/snowy Winters in the Southeast. I'm getting to work on the Winter Outlook. Good things come in three's.
