Mica Vim Toot
Oh, the pain! The wife tells me she's taking a pasting, but not a licking, up home in PQI. She is unable to determine snow depth as she's a chick... Here on the Arthur Kills in NY Hbr we are getting snow flurries. Vim Toot!

red
Looks like the heaviest bands want to stay north of me. Hopefully as the low moves across norther Maine they will pivot in for a little while. Still coming down moderately now. After a drive to the store I would guesstimate 4 inches so far. I will take my first measurement in a little while. Work is closed for the day so I'll just be hanging out, watching the radar and playing on the tractor. Far northern Maine looks like it was getting absolutely crushed. Accidents reported all over down my way with numerous road closures.

crownweather
Areas from Presque Isle and points north is being "dry slotted" this morning, however, a new batch of precip now rotating west-northwestward from New Brunswick and hopefully we can starting tacking on some snowfall here. crownweather
Forgot to mention, baro pressure now at 28.75 inches!! Snowfall so far here in Caribou is a very slushy, sloppy, wet 1.1 inches!!!!
red
Snow lightened up considerably here for the last hour or so but it seems to be picking up again now. The wind is blowing it around and it's tough to measure. Took the average of several spots about an hr ago, the average was 4.5 inches.
Mica Vim Toot
That's more than just a dry slot. Look how the Maritime punch just rolls through on it's westward sweep. This looks identical to the first of the retros last Jan that began the warm retro pattern we were plagued with the remainder of last winter. Observe how much farther west the precip shield is advancing. Check out the structure of the low- it's "shearing" out toward the west and ""maritiming" big time. Ugh. Congrats Tolland. Vim Toot! crownweather
Looking at webcams & temp data from the rest of Aroostook. Looks like the snow/rain line is along a line from Bridgewater to Portage to St. Francis. We are raining here in Caribou with a temp of 37 Degrees & a barometer reading of 28.55 inches. Presque Isle and Mars Hill is raining as well, while webcam obs from Monticello reveals that it is snowing fairly hard. I truly hope this is the only "upside down" storm we receive this winter!! Bowbrewer
5.0" down here in Damariscotta, ME, an hour North of Portland. 7 miles due south, only 2" in Bristol. Nonetheless, we got white stuff.
