Collinsville
If 79 is the daily minimum at BDL I believe that is the warmest overnight low since the obs were taken at the airport and not downtown Hartford. I'll have to look at the specifics when I get to work later. Check out the night of August 9 into the 10th, 2001 for warmest overnight low. I remember havinf a low of 78 or 79 over here that night, it won't show up in the daily records cause a front came through during the afternoon of the 10th. Good call... you're right... the 12z 6-hour min was 79F/26.1C identical to this mornings. It's lost in the dailys because the actual low was at 23z. moneypitmike
Call me crazy, but it feels nice in the shade. Drier air advecting in and the temp climb has really eased. Had a quick ramp up early, but now slowly advancing to 86.5/71. Deck ftw.
Tropopause_Fold
obviously a network of home stations...but check out the current Td readings. some low 80s. http://www.capecodweather.net/mesonet-dewpoint/ that's ridiculous. the same type of thing was showing up out over the plains/mw/ov over the last few days. butterfish55
my Davis is reading 94.4/80 right now I know it always reads a little high, so I don't think that the dp is 80, but it's close. Thinking a huge bowl of steaming chowder on the deck is in order for lunch. Who's with me?

butterfish55
Under trees and near a lawn it might be... Lots of evapotranspiration today That's the case. Can't anything about the trees or lawn though, so I just take a degree or two off the reading. Most obs around here are 78-79 atm, so..... edit: now the reading is down to 76 from 80...whew, what a relief!
