CoastalWx
Looks like a nice, summery week for vaca up in the Whites next week starting this coming Saturday..80+ for highs with humidity for a few days then a fropa. with stoms..then repeat. Can't ask for much more. i always worry going up there in August that it'll be chilly . one year there was frost in mid August..terrible Beginning of next week should be relatively pleasant. Looks like high 70s and cool nights. Maybe a warm up later next week, but no heat for sure. That's what you want.
Tropopause_Fold
never discount global models - mainly the euro - with tropical cyclones. LOL.

Tropopause_Fold
Congrats Cape Cod? no not at all. i just mean it's funny how we obsess with these storms sometimes when there are lots of hints that it might not amount to a whole lot of anything. sometimes people like to toss aside evidence that doesn't support a promising outcome. LOL.

We're staying in Jackson at the Lodge at Jackson Village..You probably drove right by the place we stay at on your way up to Santa's Village....there's a red covered bridge and a golf course right next to us. Scooter ate at The Wentworth when he was up there which is right by where we stay.

The White Mountain hotel in N Conway really has awesome views and good food as well.

And the same when it shows a black hole with a ton of isobars. Usually that means it will be a monster..or has a good shot of becoming one. I'm going to Colorado next Friday-6 days- for training for running...will probably run about 50-55 miles at about 8K feet (2 runs a day). I usually alternate between doing anywhere from 4-8 miles, but I run 6/7 days rather then every other day (about 30-40 miles a week). 77/58 today...nice. Damage In Tolland
I'm getting a little worried about showers/ storms almost everyday in NH while we're up there from the 6th-13th.. Looks like quite an active pattern. Maybe alot of the action stays south over SNE...but I'm worried.

You know how it works up there.. Morning starts out sunny and by 10:00 towering cu pop over the mtns and it's pouring by noon..then a sunny break..then another storm. We had that 2 summers ago..and it was still fine..but it rained everyday at some point., but not enough to wash anything out
