Wonder if that holds together as it heads se, south wind here, some marine contamination

Just going to have to keep an eye on it...clouds breaking ahead of this stuff...might be a bit of time for a little heating, won't take much to bump up capes a bit more...1000 cape just up to the cT border.

yea today below too, all the talks of megaheat weekend were bunk too.

megaheat?:lmao: Just garden variety 89-92 stuff, should be dry though, which makes a big difference, looks like Emily will have a say on vacay down in SC, at the very least some big waves, looks like a weakness in the Bermuda High which will allow it to come north.

Felt like when you open an oven after roasting a turkey, even at 2AM it was brutal. Do not know how you guys do it, feel real bad for those who work outside. We had a couple of days up here, it is relentless down there.

It's about time the name Emily got retired. :) I hope you get hit by a cat 3. ;)

That name has been floating around since I was a kid and a few Emilys were decent, but not enough for retirement.

There was lots of chatter early this week of a repeat of last weekend, phail. I will probably not hit 90 again for another week at least.

Central us Ridge, Eastern Trough, no way, recurve city, if it doesn't go under the trough into the Caribbean

But the trough is really a Northeast US/Eastern Canada variety. I'm not sure if the southern extent of it could get the hurricane. The sub trop ridge may hold to its north far enough for SC......

I think you get severe soon. jmho.

Couple sprinkles here, anything of substance stayed west (thankfully) still have not seen any ground truth out of se ny of anything severe, nothing out of the lower hudson valley thread, just run of the mill stuff, lets hope that was the case.

There were some reports of 1.25'' hail within that cell earlier.
