lol...the last 2 frames totally bent me over. The cell had been going due ESE until then when it decided to back to eastward. It looked impressive watching it race due east to my north though. Drats.

Oh no, I jinxed you.... There seems to be something about the area from Winnipesaukee down south to MHT this year(and years past) that things really just fall apart. Noticed it on radar several times this year. Not sure if its lower areas of shear,CAPE or dryer air or even none of the above. Just got interested in severe this past year so I'm still having to admit to a bit of a learning curve.

Actually looks like the change in direction was caused when that other storm off to our east on the ME/NH border strengthened.

That storm that came through here was unbelievable -- was in station van driving back from a remote in Plainfield, the wind squall was unbelievable coming in to Willimantic, many branches down

Fine by me....I never expect anything exciting.

Heh, me neither really... Within 5 seconds of seeing rad activity first out near ALB earlier on I had prognosed our evening to 100% anvil debris precision.

That hail in CEF is impressive. All those leaves being stripped by the hail is usually done from at least quarter sized.

I'm not sure of the exact location or when where it fell, but there was > quarter sized hail pictured on NECN just a few minutes ago.

Mapleleafs?

Leaves...

I've never seen quarter sized hail

whoops.

I've seen it three times...

2002 I saw 1.5'' hail in New Britain, CT

7/18/06 I had 1'' hail

8/7/08 I had 1'' hail

Also briefly saw 1'' hail last May but it was only a few stones...which I didn't even notice until my brother saw it and we measured.

where is this from? who is this "guy"

Don't report it. I think it's BS. There was a man that came by in a pickup truck when I was taking a few pictures, saying he saw a tornado. He is mistaking straight line winds for a tornado.... I was about a mile east of here when the straight line came through, and they were very clearly were straight line
