I knew this morning when I saw those storms in Upstate NY we were f'd. Time to focus on the 100 degree + temps

If we dont get any significant rain down here today or tonight, and after the sizzlefest this week, I may have to throw in the towel on non irrrigated properties, this is ridiculous.

Give it a few hours. Your stuff might now come in until this evening anyways.

Looks like another severe weather ffffail. I was looking forward to the heavy thunderstorms, I'm up in danbury,ct, they usually get good stuff, but not today.

I would say wait until 3-4pm to see what upstream stuff happens. Obviously trend is not what some want, but it's still a bit early in the game. This is why it's dangerous to always have high hopes for severe in SNE.

...A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE STILL POSSIBLE IN SOUTHERN NEW

ENGLAND THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...

A RATHER EXTENSIVE AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS WILL BE

MOVING ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND THROUGH MID AFTERNOON. THIS HAS

SO FAR PREVENTED THE ATMOSPHERE FROM BECOMING OVERLY UNSTABLE.

HOWEVER...SKIES WERE BEGINNING TO CLEAR IN WESTERN AND CENTRAL NEW

YORK STATE AS OF 130 PM. THIS MAY ALLOW FOR ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORM

DEVELOPMENT ALONG AND AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT LATER THIS AFTERNOON.

STRONGER WINDS ALOFT WILL ALSO BE APPROACHING SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND.

THIS MEANS THAT THERE IS STILL THE POTENTIAL FOR STRONG

THUNDERSTORMS ESPECIALLY DURING THE EVENING HOURS. A FEW STORMS

COULD PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. ANY THUNDERSTORMS THIS EVENING

WILL ALSO PRODUCE TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME...

WHICH MAY RESULT IN RAPID FLOODING OF URBAN AND POOR DRAINAGE

AREAS...AND AN ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT FLASH FLOOD EVENT COULD OCCUR.

STAY UPDATED ON THE WEATHER. LISTEN TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO...TV OR

RADIO STATIONS...OR GO ONLINE TO WEATHER.GOV/BOSTON.
