At this point, I just hope tomorrow the dew points drop back, but the boundary is going to lay across the area now it looks like, meaning minimal reprieve. Btw I bet we get a couple 100 this next ob sweep in 10 minutes for SEMI.

LAF and IND both have hit 100

...INDIANAPOLIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HITS 100 DEGREES... THE OFFICIAL TEMPERATURE FOR INDIANAPOLIS...TAKEN AT THE INDIANAPOLIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT...REACHED 100 DEGREES AT 307 PM THIS AFTERNOON. THE LAST TIME THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 100 DEGREES OR HIGHER WAS AUGUST 16 1988 WHEN IT REACHED 102. AS HOT AS THIS IS...OUR READING OF 100 DEGREES IS 7 DEGREES BELOW THE RECORD SET IN 1934.

What about longest streak for 80+? With almost a month there without any 70s and no relief in sight it seems that might come into play eventually.

I know the longest streak for 90F+ is 11 days from Aug 24-Sep 3, 1953.

Im not sure of the longest 80F+ streak. The last official day with a high in the 70s was June 25th, I will say this, the high of 80F on June 27th, June 28th, and July 14th were VERY cheap lol. DTW managed to sneak an intra-hour 80 while most of the region had a max in the 70s. But, for official purposes, those are still 80-degree days. You use the official station for records purposes, in both good times and bad lol. Thats why I hate hearing garbage like "in 1930 the readings were taken downtown" or whatever. Yeah, and in 1930 UHI was not the problem it is today.

4pm @ Waterloo Region Int'l Airport: 95/113

Doesn't look like we're going to break the record of 97.7-- it's been at 95 for two or three hours now no change.

Interesting to note, today's high of 35C is 63.8C warmer than our 10/11 winter low of -28.8C
