moneypitmike
71/61, a mind melting high of 83 (78 @ 2K).lol A nice evening about to slip into the 60's. Good to be left out of the red death warning. Still a little concerned as Scooter says I'll see a 90 somewhere this week. Wow--you got 83 at home? Topped at 80.4 here. Of course, the cool down continues to suck here. 73.5/
Typhoon Tip
I know no one cares but jesus h. C is that 2 runs now of some pig heights - approaching 600dm over a vast, vast area of the CONUS is something I haven't seen... Luckily it's only two runs and it's only the GFS. it's after the attempted cool back on Sunday....by that following Wed makes Friday perhaps the lesser brethren. I'm thinking the smoke is pretty thin, but the debris could screw it up... Very hazy today...but last summer's was way worse

Ice Warrior commander
24 people in this thread vs 450-500. We had a couple hundred in the June 1st tornado outbreak thread. Lol, I'll go with 94 at ORH as It's difficuilt to get there , or exceed it like last July's 96 was rare , and July 1991 was 95. Tolland amendment one: 97. KGAY 98 and Bos 100 . However, it's not easy to get 100 at BOS .. More times than not it's 98/99 in the in the really Hot heat ridges. Tip is right about things fouling up 100F in SNE official stations. Being a climate data nut like myself. I get excited about all exteme wx. so i want 100F and 96F at ORH but it won't make 96 at ORH I don't think. Looking at climatology.. Being in SNE we can look forward to a Dynamical synoptic blizzard in the winter. No biggie as pattern breaks down pretty fast for heat after Sat. Kev too high on Maxes.. JMHO. CoastalWx
Euro and euro ensembles now have a little contour of +24C at 850 late Friday aftn. MOS has 101 for ASH Thursday. Still looks too cool for BOS area but gotta think someone is touching 100 and will possibly be near 100 for two days. Saturday looks scorching in eastern areas too. I bet Thursday night is one of the warmest nights you'll ever have.

Possible, though heat tends to underperform here. I plan on working and golfing through the teeth of the heat. I'm happy to get the hottest stretch of the summer over and out of here. I can see September from here. Sept/Oct now appearing in my schedule. It'll be over soon, very soon.

It's not that it underperforms, you're higher up and protected. Take a drive to those open spots away from the glen tomorrow. You'll be surprised.
