Yeah,high dewpoints along with enough clouds,haze,or smoke would have kept the daily maxes down and mins up. Also, wcdf slowing sagging south through mid-Hudson Valley (distinct wind shift to north at KSWF and noticeable drop in dps from Albany north (lower to mid 60's there to upper 40's to lower 50's just north of NY/Quebec border). The sun has popped back out so I'm hoping those storms in NW NJ will hold together as they drift southeastward. Please bring one of these storms over here I forgot what rain looks like! My plants need constant watering now and even the lawn that stays pretty green without regular watering needs to be watered daily. I agree about thunder btw. Probably my favorite part of a storm. LGA's high was only 88 and now it's down to 81-- 9 degrees lower than JFK with NE winds!
