A-L-E-X
On the day after the hottest day of the 1930s from when no records still stand, just a few miles south of Newark where they recorded a high of only 103. Call me skeptical lol. And that summer was not extremely hot for us-- 1944 is the summer that really stands out from that period. And then we got a major hurricane lol. Sn0waddict
MAJOR train delays between New Haven and NYC, wires are down on the tracks. I'm stuck on an Amtrak train in New Haven right now, we've been here for about an hour and a half. My mother it stuck on metro north between South Norwalk and Westport. A/c just stopped working as well, I can only imagine how bad it is going to get.
green tube
Some town in Central NJ I think-- Ray mentioned it earlier. okay thanks. yeah, i tried skimming thru prior posts before asking... didnt see it. 110 seems borderline nutty coo coo because you never even see 109, or 108 or even 107 in CNJ.. although someone might have hit 107 today

Was it from Middlesex County? I think that's what he said, but I'll have to go back to check and make sure.

LithiaWx
How many heat related deaths are going to come out of this? The sad side of this historic heat wave has not been told yet I fear.
pazzo83
101/73 in the park. Pretty much doesn't get much worse than that, although earlier in the day there was a 100/76 and a 102/74. Of course, DC had a 102/78 earlier.

Isotherm
I know Colts Neck. I grew up in Howell. My parents lived down there for 30 years. Was at Delicious Orchards for the first time in years last Saturday actually. It does indeed look like a bogus reading. Yep, Howell is a very nice area as well, and of course gotta love Delicious Orchards. After cooling to the upper 80s, I'm rising again, back to 90.2F. tmagan
On September 2nd, 1953, Central Park hit 102oF. I decided to look at the 19Z METAR's from that day.

SACRUS
Lowering dew points are a good sign it could be in the triple digits again tomorrow. My concern is the clouds coming into W-PA but that may be out by the morning. Either way we'll have a nice high start for the launch again. Phoenix was only 104 today I think. A-L-E-X
Highs EWR 108 (all time record high) NYC 104 (daily record high) JFK 103 (daily record high) LGA 103 (daily record high) BDR 103 (daily record high) ISP 100 (daily record high) The high of 103 at Bridgeport tied their all time record high. JFK missed their all time record high by only one degree and NYC by only 2 degrees. I believe Trenton's 105/106 (whatever it was) either tied or broke their all time record high.
