ag3
While it's fun to break records, and everyone here enjoys extreme weather of any variety, nobody can actually ENJOY this weather, as in being outside in it, unless you're a ****ing iguana. Yup. No way can anyone enjoy being out in this. ONLY if you live right on the ocean or have an olympic size pool, like earthlight. What I enjoy is the record aspect of it. I'd be very pissed if Newark doesnt break the 105 record.

Dude if I am at 102 in this part of Queens with at least a little bit of sound influence with these winds I would be super pissed if Newark of all places doesn't clip 105 and even 106. ag3
GFS continues with the mega ridge a torch by the end of next week (7/28) Yup. Posted that 2 hours ago. However, after that heat ridge, the pattern looks like it breaks down with blocking returning. I think August will be normal to below normal overall. Cfa
who said hot summer weather is boring. I am so glad that this forum is alive for heat and that their are indeed heat lovers on the board. Dont let the snow weenies fool you, there are people who appreciate hot weather. Now 102 for me with a heat index of 119! Lol I only appreciate hot weather. My temperature is 100 on the dot with a heat index of 119, it's bringing back some memories of being in Tampa when the heat index was in the 120's, this hasn't really been matched yet anywhere until today. CAT5ANDREW
They got to 85 before 6Z. North Central Western Queens for some reason is always among the warmest sunrise temps.I am sometimes a good 5-8 degrees warmer than Eastern Queens.
A-L-E-X
103.8 was my high so far I think you may have a site issue placement. I know I do.... my high was 104.0 (I took a pic lol).... but I always adjust it downward by 1.8 because that's my heat bias. Last year it was 103.8 and I adjusted it downward to 102.
MN Transplant
They got to 85 before 6Z. I see that in the 6 hourlies, but is it certain that it happened today? The lowest individual ob in that timeframe was at 22:51 yesterday.

A-L-E-X
My parents' Davis is up to 102 after a low of 81 as of about 10 minutes ago. Nuts. The Davis' RH is running 10% ahead of the ASOS so I'm not going by that, but the HI at TTN is 118. This is crazy. What was the highest they got to last summer, Ray? A-L-E-X
almost feels like a winter storm thread with the amount of activity today.. brings back memories. Yep, do you remember the big heat wave last summer? Outside of the severe wx stuff, it was the most exciting I've ever seen it in nonwinter weather!
