Nikolai
The amazing thing about this is the NWS put out afternoon updates and didn't change Newark's forecasted high of 104.....they could hit that in the next hour at this rate Afternoon updates won't matter when a huge chunk of people don't have electricity... just speculating, but either today or tomorrow have the first real possibility of rolling brownouts in a very long time. I have never seen heat like this in the I-95 corridor, and most stations up and down the entire seaboard should be 100+ by noon. This is probably the most epic heatwave since the 30s. That's what I know it to be as well. not for long, IGNORANT!

earthlight
Holy ****... We don't even get stuff like that down here in TX lol. Yeah it's ridiculous. It's interesting, too...because the guidance has the winds staying firmly west through this afternoon. Yesterday we had a moist SW flow and some clouds around 2pm and they got to 103. I have to wonder if the dew points may mix out this afternoon and stations like EWR with the west winds are going to just roast.
