mike2010
Yeah, I'm sure your spreading rumors on a weather messageboard will really influence their thinking... A lot of Mets that frequent the boards... I'm guessing you're in favor of recalibrating.

As mentioned, Newark should of been 106 last year if they didn't tinker with the equipment. Nearby obs verified the 106. How's it a conspiracy ? Sounds like Fox News Channel talk... Drz1111
This strikes me as being -very- hot for this early in the day, even by our usual standards for 100+ weather. We have 3-4 more hours of heating to go . . . (away from the shore)

Nikolai
Pretty sure this is the hottest day I will have ever seen in an I-95 city (or even ever, perhaps). Last night was unbearably hot even at 4AM in the city, it was ridiculous... AND NOW THIS I DON'T EVEN HAVE WORDS OMG JUST DEATHING OUTSIDE

JonClaw
Is there an air conditioner behind it? Or maybe a laundry vent? That sounds high. My mistake: It looks like it fell overnight and someone moved the damn thing on to the sunny side of the garage. Gonna have to go out and fix it. Analog96
Holy shi!t! EWR could feasibly hit 110 today. CRAZY. 102 and it isn't even NOON! Would it be crazy to make a forecast with highs of 105-110? Stormlover74
Well its uncharted territory at this point so the thinking must be is that the heating will slow by early this afternoon, but if it doesn't 110 is absolutely within reach (as crazy as that sounds) Would it be crazy to make a forecast with highs of 105-110? I was thinking of doing that last night, but nobody was going to listen.
