Overnight lows tonight probably stay 80 or above virtually everywhere save for the most rural locations. 80+ nighttime minimum is a rare feat for my area. Thunderdude Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 It only got up 87 F in Islip but the dewpoints are 73-75 F which the heat index did get up to the 93-96 F here and that still felt quite impressive and I believe the cloud cover and SSW winds save us here from the real extreme heat but tomorrow will get well into 90's and depending on the wind direction how high the dewpoints will be will determine on the heat indexs and will get to at least near 100 F here.
