Indystorm
I'm liking my chances to get some MCS activity here in Michiana sometime the next day or two as storms round the ridge. The morning storms of July 11 were quite memorable for the time of day 10:30 AM EDT when they roared through here.
brettjrob
KMVX 3.5° (scanning at ~25,000 ft.) and tops. God, there's nothing I love more than discrete Plains supercells.

I am hoping cmichweather is out. I know a bunch of UND grad students who may be out as well as another friend who caught that tornado last night. Northern areas are prime with the ridge in place to the south and the disturbances up north. Seems to be hit and miss too, but when they do happen, they are discrete, and nobody is around. Then they drop these gorgeous tornadoes!

andyhb
Still two very nice discrete supercells. The one to the east could end up in Fargo if it continues. Edit: The western one split or another storm developed to its south.
baroclinic_instability
I have a feeling that convective outflow boundary from the stuff in MN pushing eastward will finally spell the end for that long lived supercell.
andyhb
On another note, looking at the GFS, and while its pretty far out, Saturday is looking pretty darn nasty across North Dakota/Minnesota, with curved hodographs galore.
