TalcottWx
I may have picked up between 2-3" of rain here.. obviously closer to the 2. Thats an estimate because or radar being down and lack of a gauge but it straight poured for at least an hour

TalcottWx
This is what I was keying in on : THERE HAS BEEN WEAK TO MODEST AIRMASS RECOVERY BEHIND THE SQLN AND AHEAD OF THE FRONT WHERE A FEW ATTEMPTS AT NEW DEVELOPMENT HAVE OCCURRED AND HRRR ALSO SUGGESTS THE POTENTIAL FOR ANOTHER ROUND OF LINEARLY FORCED STORMS TO TAKE FORM IN THE NEXT HOUR OR SO. HOWEVER...WIDESPREAD SEVERE STORM COVERAGE IS NOT ANTICIPATED IN THE POST-SQLN AREA FROM ERN OH/NWRN PA TO AREAS EAST OF LAKE ONTARIO AND THESE COUNTIES CAN LIKELY BE CLEARED FROM THE WATCH WITH THE NEXT OUTLINE UPDATE. adelphi_sky
I tell you. Storms this summer are a clinic in patience. The Beltway crew is getting bypassed again. All that rain just to the north of the Beltway. Last hope is the storm currently over Rockville. And even that is a little finger of rain that may last only 10 minutes. Then, storms could come once again, agreed? The text here says that as well.

HRRR thinks that western portion falls apart in the cinh and I think I agree... the next hour will tell the tale oh i know, western parts are in trouble as the instability is gone there, and east of there around ne md those parts may do better. Even so, after the storms leave that cinh, the frontogenisis and forcing could help with potential re-initiation. Kinda meh, but its whatever, we'll see. wxeyeNH
Wild storm mid afternoon here in Pikesville. Long lasting heavy thunderstorm with lots of flooding. Visiting my folks here and don't trust their rain gauge but it recorded almost 5" during the storm. It was in an open area so no dripping off roof etc. I would estimate half of that, perhaps 2". Anyone isn NW Baltimore with a good rain gauge?
TUweathermanDD
clearing looking likely, ne md still maybe good sir, I also except a little late shoot up in the cape, since we aren't far past peak heating. Lets see if we can't muster up something! (Though I still am a bit Ianish aka meh on anything at all)
