weatherwiz
Yeah, a strong vortmax comes up the side of the ULL and develops a low south of RIC and moves north. ughhh...that's the worst possible thing we want to see, luckily though it's just a vortmax...nothing major, timing and strength of that will probably end up meaning the world and considering this is about a week out it's probably best to just not get upset
CT Rain
Yeah, a strong vortmax comes up the side of the ULL and develops a low south of RIC and moves north. Even though the 2ndry looks promising in early panels because the entire ULL is attempting to phase with the PV in Canada it lifts the entire system N and shoves the best forcing NW and gives us the inland runner track. That PV over central Canada and an east based -NAO are going to kill us.
weatherwiz
It closes off to our west and once that happens the flow aloft from the sfc to the upper levels starts screaming from the south/southeast...winds of death.

Sure we've benefited before, but this scenario also could happen, when you have strong Pacific energy diving southeast from the PNA ridge. We'll see what the rest of the suite has. I really don't care much at this stage of the game.

CoastalWx
Well for the far interior like Pete, good news is that this storm is in and out in 9 hrs. He'll rip S+ then probably a couple hours of rain then dryslot.
CT Rain
This part i mean Yeah if they're setup like that. If that PV is a little further north and we don't see the phasing and the NAO doesn't scoot east as fast we're in business. I'd also like to see storm 1 show signs of blowing up more. We should feel very good at where things stand right now for that storm. Everyone is going to get so caught up with the Sunday/Monday thing but this could certainly drop a widespread 1-3'' maybe 2-4''.
