tombo82685
hr 123 has that clipper dampening out like 6z. If it continues 6z trend then another should form and be further south. This is good if you want snow from that for ny and phl
Nikolai
Anyone denying the cold December is crazy at this point... I've been on this train since June, but it's finally come to fruition. We're looking absolutely frigid through at least 12/20 on the models, and I think we'll keep it up into mid-January. We haven't had a Nina of significant strength with our new -NAO/-PNA regime yet, and this one is looking to break the typical characteristics of the Ninas of the past 30 years... a legitimate cold December? Perhaps snow will be above average too, all I'm saying!

Radders
Looking at the 5H pattern, anybody noticing how the GoA Vort is starting to weaken and retreat north? Good sign for some better ridging out West and a more amplified pattern.. We'll see how this affects things for the rest of the run I guess. jrodd321
Ugh getting so tired of seeing the clippers just bomb too far off the coast to affect anyone. This -pna is just fooking up everything.
SnoSki14
Ugh getting so tired of seeing the clippers just bomb too far off the coast to affect anyone. This -pna is just fooking up everything. You're also getting lake cutters from it. I'm hoping for some miracle to occur and we get something, but it doesn't look to good, the pacific is awful and it doesn't matter how good the Atlantic is. The pacific doesn't have to be amazing, just decent enough to get something going, but that's not the case.
mattinpa
That was one of the better GFS runs in a while; I wouldn't get too discouraged.
