earthlight
The google maps are really awesome--great implementation. They've been rolling out some pretty awesome improvements over the past 6 months or so.
jdrenken
I attempted to look up the 04/27/11 outbreak to see what was filtered and what wasn't. I guess it won't look into archived storms because that option wasn't available.
janetjanet998
I'm also glad they put the filter option on so we can compare current outbreaks to ones in the past. They took the filters off this spring so if the same outbreak happened last year there would be less reports

I imagine they'll go back through all of the unfiltered stuff they've had since March and update those pages at least.
Stebo
Excellent change IMO. The google maps feature is a nice plus too.
Thunder Road
It's really neat to see the reports on a Google Maps overlay, especially since one can toggle between street view and satellite to see the terrain around a reported event. However I wonder if this will cause confusion since the report locations are now more specific than, imo, they should be. For instance, if somebody reports a tornado 3 miles SW of Town X, they might actually be 3.5 miles SSW and viewing a tornado 4 miles to their north, so there should probably be a disclaimer than locations are approximate. Other than that, a very nice upgrade from SPC! If we could get watches and risk areas on a similar Google Maps overlay, I would be thrilled!
