Stormlover74
Usually those types of days with a cold front approaching are our best chances for some severe storms Yeah, it looks like widespread 95-100F on Tuesday with 850mb temps near 20C and west winds. A-L-E-X
Another 90 degree day here Yup, the same here, but nothing like what happened during this period back in July 1993
TheTrials
Yup, the same here, but nothing like what happened during this period back in July 1993 with the breeze and low humidity it feels like 75, not 90. And its July 8th, this weather is by no means shocking. Above normal, yes, but its not setting any records or turning any heads.

TheTrials
No, this is actually awesome weather, I love low 90s with low humidity. plus, accounting for climate change, normals are probably 1-2 degrees too low, so 87-89 is probably closer to normal and thus we are 1-2 above. Same thing with winter, lows and highs are probably too low and should be bumped up to account for global temperature increases.
ag3
Beautiful day. Spent it on the gold coast of the north shore of LI. Now back in Whitestone and it's a beautiful, low humidity evening.

I remember what happened in July 1993 like it was yesterday-- that ended on the weekend too-- and the last day the low temp was in the mid 80s and it was already 90 by 8:30 AM here and rising like 4-5 degrees per hour on the way to 102 in the city and here and 105 at Newark. The sunlight had a distinct orange color to it all day. AG would be melting LOL
