Still raining, down to 82. I didn't hear thunder or anything, just trees rustling in the wind.

Now I know why I heard people screaming outside.

 Lol I basically missed everything.

What was your high? It's down to 82 here now too with a 35 mph NNW wind.

Just got knocked around pretty good in Long Beach by this T-storm. Wrapping up now, and nice rainbow looking to the east currently.

I got a decent pic of a rainbow in Astoria, right after this storm.

Can't upload it here from iPhone. I'll post it tomorrow from work.

I was able to get a shot of the downburst spreading out near the surface to my west.If you look close to the horizon you can make it out.

I also got a photo of the rainbow near the end of the storm.

Only a T of precipitation here.

FEW

74.9/59

Despite still being a mild night that probably requires A/C, it still feels cool compared to the inferno we had the last two evenings.

A/C on a night like this? You're kidding.

I shut it off for a little while, but the bedroom stays pretty warm, especially after the inferno the last few days, so I wouldn't be surprised if I turn it on again for a bit. We're supposed to get down to 62F here tonight, which would be cool enough to sleep with the windows open, but we're still at 71/58 and haven't been radiating much. I'm not sure it's really going to get that crisp. My house holds a lot of heat and is entirely non-AC except for the bedroom wall unit, so I usually throw that on for at least a couple hours when it is hot. The high was 84F today so it wasn't exactly cool.

I bet you sometimes wish houses around here were built of mud so they would radiate the heat much better (like the Natives built their houses in the southwest.) Concrete would do also-- my basement is always a ton cooler and drier than any place else in my house.

The storm missed me in Bayside, just some rain, but the rainbow was huge and bright.

I got barely a few drops in Whitestone, but after I heard about the rainbow I looked outside and sure enough I caught the tail end of it.

I don't know about concrete. I think it holds the heat in pretty well.

my house is always very warm, I barely use heat in the winter.
