Looks like downsloping will kill most of this as it tries it's best to head down the other side of the mountain. We hadn't gotten any precipitation since the short period last night... so there was still a little bit of dry air aloft that likely caused us to have some sleet mixing in with the rain. I think we should go over to all rain here in a bit. The temperatures aloft will simply be too warm here So to answer your question... yes the warm nose aloft here is preventing any sort of snowfall in Asheville, which was expected.
