finally got cable back :P Biggest lightning storm since 2008, some thunder/lightning simultaneously a Few times. Didn't get much wind after the initial gust.

The cell that came through here at ~ 330 definitely had rotation in it, but it seemed a bit Sideways rather than vertical. Racing low scud clouds kept quicly appearing and lifted higher a bit upon forming, and the clouds higher above that were moving from SW to NE, but lower down they were out of the N, so it didn't seem cyclonic at the base, and there wasn't a funnel cloud involved either.

Can anyone explain what that might have been? With how fast the clouds were moving I thought a wall of NW wind was incoming.

We had practice for an hour and twenty in the rain next to unitas stadium.. we were on the grass at 430.. very very heavy rain absolutely no lightning or thundee.. grass was just purely soaked by the end. Needed the rain bad. Good puddles around the dorm. Looks like more rain possible tomorrow.
