Just had about 10 rain drops here. I'll consider a successful day in the rain category here.

Darn , that was 8 drops more than me. It's been a long time since I have seen a forecast go from 50% chance of rain to mostly sunny in two hrs. Its dry again and by Monday there will be a a lot of whining going on. Where is our tropical storm to break this pattern. The system this morning might as well hit the Sierra's the way it acted.

Heat almost never busts when it shows up on the models.....yeah maybe the severity but really is there a big difference between 96 and 100 degrees? Not really. I expect a landslide of water restrictions to start showing up in the area if this persistent dryness continues. I thought last summer was bad but it was not nearly as bad IMBY. I have a heavily wooded backyard that I've never seen dry up entirely and it is right now. Yet somehow the mosquitos still harass us.

12z euro is continuing the same theme as 0z but hotter. Still bone dry throughout the 10 day period.

stop imby, we would need a month of no rain before we get into a drought. Everywhere is right around normal, some place .75 below some places .75 above. For a drought and water restrictions to occur you need a couple months of well below normal precip not 2 weeks.

In other words, thanks for warning us your posts are going to go downhill even further. It's SUMMER, it doesn't rain constantly. Stop with the drought crap. We're a long way off from being in a drought. Yes, it's dry, but it's the season for it. You wanna see a drought? Go look at TX and OK. I can't wait until winter when you whine every week about how little snow your getting. It's like I said to you before, when you have no idea what you are talking about, you need to read more, and post less.

I'm not "screaming drought", just stating the facts since late May. I think people need to chill a bit toward posters who are "whining", that's what this thread is for (or atleast part of the reason it is here), no?

Whining means complaining about getting a shaft on a storm, not being hilariously factually incorrect.

Ok then. I'm just noticing a bullying tactic toward some in this subforum (not saying toward me). I for one, like reading people posts regardless, if I find them factually incorrect, I just ignore the poster.

Obviously last summer was hotter and drier, its not the end of the world this summer, that's for sure.

We weren't talking about you anyway, lol. Plus, since when does banter mean every single post can be whining? Because that's what this thread has come to. It was all directed at bluehens, who whines with EVERY single post he makes, and doesn't have any idea what he's talking about, and has NO facts to back any of it up.

I'd prefer this subforum to be known for good weather posters (and we do have a lot of them, don't get me wrong) than for the weenietown we're currently known as. I have no problem with people calling other posters out for bad info/analysis. That's not bullying, that's holding people accountable for their posts.

Like I said, I never noticed, maybe I just ignore him.

All I'm saying is I want this to be a place where people feel comfortable posting (especially in the obs./banter thread because it should be the most chill). We need more posters in our region to post here, especially when it comes to obs., etc.

Now in terms of model and storm discussion threads, people whining, wishcasting, etc. should be ripped a new one. That crap is annoying.

There's no "bullying" going on, if people are consistantly dead wrong in what they post, and do nothing but whine, they're going to get called out on it. All it does is bring our subforum down. And bluehens has not made one post, that didn't have whining in it, since I can even remember.

Here in NW Chesco we are at 4.20" below normal since June 1st...we have had only 0.25" of rain this month and 1.74" for the month of June. So 1.99" in the last 43 days is a concern.....but not yet a drought in my book.

That said it is tough to watch the heavy rain go east and west of my place....but we have to enjoy the weather as it's the only weather you got!

Here in NW Chesco we are at 4.20" below normal since June 1st...we have had only 0.25" of rain this month and 1.74" for the month of June. So 1.99" in the last 43 days is a concern.....but not yet a drought in my book.

That said it is tough to watch the heavy rain go east and west of my place....but we have to enjoy the weather as it's the only weather you got!

Hard to believe with you being further west that the lines of storms in the late spring that crushed CXY and LNS never made it into your neck of the woods. Talk about the fizzle zone.

yea paul, per the precip map i posted chester county is the driest in the try county region. Your areas its a little different because i imagine you get your water from wells correct? If so that is all dependent on the ground water.
