Grothar
I am ready to hang it up on thunderstorm development for our western Lehigh County. The storms that Mt. Holly stated as a special statement this evening that are 45 miles west of Wilkes Barre will most likely never make it to us in one piece. The slow splitting death syndrome is killing the storms already and they are not even close to the county lines. Poor Hazelton ( Voyager) area is going to get more rain. If this was only winter they would have 3 feet of snow on the ground. Can we just get one cell to develop over night and stay over us for more than 10 minutes? Voyager
I am near Rt 100 and Spring Creek Rd 2-3 miles from Yoccos. Near Breinigsville and Mertztown. Still no significant rainfall I know that area very well. It's where the new Rt 100 alignment meets up with the old at the railroad tracks. We delivered many tons of screenings on the old right of way at the Trexlertown Rd light for a slurry seal project.

FUCK JOE BIDEN
Steady rain and occasional thunder here. yesterday afternoon the golf course got .2" while I got nothing here at home. Driving it is 4 miles, so straight line is probably under 3 miles. I am always amazed at the cutoff you get with thunderstorms. Raining here now though, which is nice. Glad that today's precip. is more broadbrushed in nature. Like I said, I don't need a 4 inch deluge or 70 mph winds, just a few hours of steady rain once every 7-10 days. Both of you need to chill out, this is a banter thread. 2. I was posting a joke on the special statement. This is not whining 3. Of course I was dead wrong- it was a joke 4. To state that I have little knowledge or facts is dead wrong. My degree is in physical geography. Basically that is where meteorology courses were concentrated in the 70's. I have worked as an air traffic controller and natural resource conservationist. What is your backgrounds and knowledge? 5. My tropical prediction for our area is not on the hot weather as much as weather history. In 1955 we had record highs in July and then in August we had Hurricanes Connie and Diane that flooded the hell out of Eastern PA with flows on the Delaware and their highest levels and many people were eventually killed. I was making a comparison. By the way two hurricanes does not necessarily constitute a busy tropical season 6. Yes, I will be the first to admit that I b**ch a lot about the lack of rain for my area but rightfully so. The rainfall is absolutely needed to supply the bottling companies that rely on this valuable resource. You may have drank this water and beverages such Pierre, Niagara, Deer Park, Desanti, Nestle, Samuel Adams Beer, Coke, and Kraft Juices to name a few. These are bottled and produced with ground water in Fogelsville and Breinigsville. Also the city of Allentown and Western Lehigh County rely on this same water and the Little Lehigh Creek Water is a precious resource for Lehigh County and a lot of jobs rely on it. 7. Its good to laugh and this is what makes this subforum enjoyable to read
