A bit out of the area, but this is just insane:

... Record high temperature set at Elmira Airport today...

The high temperature at Elmira County Airport reached 104 degrees

at 5:08 PM... setting a new record high for this date. The previous

record high was 97 degrees set in 1955.

That is quite impressive!

Dead calm wind and a dewpoint of 74 should prevent the never-before recorded low of 80 or higher from occurring at ABE. Though it'll be close. ABE radiates too easily, that's why they've never had a low of 80 or higher.

TTN 86/77 right now, that's gotta be just atrocious. Wish I could be there. Here at EKO its 58/39, and its only midnight.

This has got to be one of the most stinking uncomfortable nights ever in the I-95 corridor.

Some 3 a.m. observations:

Newark, NJ 88/76 HI 99

NE Phila. 86/77 HI 97

Wilmington, DE 83/82 HI 97

Baltimore 91(!)/73 HI 100

DC-Dulles 86/78 HI 98

Could always be worse...

Baltimore Inner Harbor still sitting at 90 degrees with a 99 degree heat index at 5 a.m. Should be a great evening to watch a Phillies or Orioles game tonight- from home...

That's probably what Center City Philly is reading about now...
