Parsley
The water table is around 300ft deep but has lots of fractures to enable stream flow even in the driest of summer. Plus Armstrong Industries tests a lot of their drought-resistant corn varieties here in the county. Interesting. 94 here @ 4pm.
Eskimo Joe
Talk about getting trolled. KPHL may not reach 90 today because of a wind off the Delaware River/marine layer!

Voyager
Excessive Heat Warning in effect -- but only for Thursday. For some reason the NWS isn't as gung-ho on Friday... Perhaps Binghamton, but State College has 'em up for Thursday AND Friday here. Currently 93.9 here after a high of 94.8 earlier.
Maximum lawman
Excessive Heat Warning in effect -- but only for Thursday. For some reason the NWS isn't as gung-ho on Friday... They look gung-ho to me: Friday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 100. Heat index values as high as 111. West wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Anything popping out toward Harrisburg? I guess all the radars aren't reporting to the internetz.

Not sure exactly where you are, but the GFS has KAVP 6 degrees coolers than KPHL both days (NAM is 10) and Friday slightly cooler than Thursday.
