Nice stuff, thanks for doing the leg work!

Wow! 97 at KRDG.

Yes, that is quite impressive. KRDG looks like it was warmer than KPHL today but that is not surprising considering KPHL has a NE wind for a few hours advecting cooler air in off the Delaware River. Looking at aerial photography, the best wind direction would be from the West or Northwest, as it would pipe in hot air from the tarmac or surrounding suburbs in Delaware County. As of 4:48pm, there is a sustained east wind at 9mph, so I believe Philly is done climbing for the day.

Meanwhile, KPNE (Northeast Philly) had a NE wind but it was still off the city, so it ended up with a temperature identical to KRDG. Always know your geography.

my Camry sensor was saying 99 as I was driving through Langhorne earlier, guess that was off by a bit and can't be trusted

Between inadequate air movement over the sensor and the fact you are driving continuously over a hot road surface, cars tend to run hot more often than not.

down 3 degrees in 8 minutes thanks to the seabreeze, now 90.8

and a nice little seabreeze shower has popped up over the Stadiums. Thankfully the Phillies are away

The AC won't be fixed until Friday (at the earliest). Currently 86.7 INSIDE the house. Snowman.gif

Do you have the means to get a room until then? I think that's exactly what I would do if I could not get service until Friday...We haven't even hit the 'meat' of the heat yet around here and the AC feels like its constantly on when we're home. :weight_lift:

Anyone else notice the very thin strip of precip moving SE to NW on the Mt Holly radar? Seems odd, I was wondering what would cause that or what it would indicate since the storms firing up are moving in essentially the opposite direction...

I'm going to see how long I can hold out. But by Thursday, I'll probably abandon ship and stay with friends.

For now, I'll give inside/outside temp obs:

Inside: 88.0

Outside: 90.2
