I was discussing a while ago that there were two distinct looking heat intervals perhaps interspersed with a wane - this GFS run, although not ideal for the big heat numbers aloft, does attempt to merge the two into one longer stretch of perhaps 90 clad ...couple days higher.

You mean for the time around the 23rd? It looked like a good delivery imo. Ensembles are toasty too.

Yeah, it looks like this GFS run raises heights enough for bigger numbers by Sunday and then lets it cook indefinitely as opposed to a trough interval in between then and the 23rd.

Yeah, not much of a cooldown if you can't get below 570 thicknesses. Verbatim it would probably be like an 84F seabreeze at the coast. Ideal for cooking up the SST's anyways.

Well, it is pretty small... but it abutts Windblow XC ski area which is an awesome place... 10 acres, too and a sugar shack!!!

I wonder if Windblown is still for sale?

I see potential... What was the asking price?

As far as the cottage/shack, that can be improved. If there is any type of peak out of the 10 acres, clear it out in a zone and build a 1500' el 80'fire tower. :D

Yeah - we better change the subject before Kevin ends up in the ER with a Viagra-like O.D. and one of those 4 hour boners -

Speaking of that, I noticed the the SSTs are anomalously warm from Cape Hatteras to Cape Cod - that's pretty interesting considering we haven't exactly been tipping the scale at the thermometer houses along the EC.

The skiing there is awesome. I just discovered it last year. My cousins live right near there so I hope to go a lot more this upcoming winter. thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Cool, I've only heard it by name but not knowing about it. How far is it from ORH?

I've had about 5 people tell me how nice the waters have been, and said the same thing to myself. My guess is that we really haven't had those days where we have strong offshore flow to really upwell some of those colder waters. Days with lighter seabreezes...even light sw winds will probably help keep the water at local beaches on the milder side. Yesterday got breeze, but still Boston buoy remained near 70.

Ah ha, nice try. Mine was better. Let's have a vote: Who thought my very truthful and appropriate, and clever barb targeted at Kevina was vastly superior than his pitiful attempt of doctoring my post unfunnily ?

Scott, I was toying with the idea that we've had a lot more S flow along the EC than perhaps thought - I just haven't bothered to seek the data. It's an interesting question and, I have often wondered if anyone has actually tried to correlate west Atlantic Basin TC activity with temps. I would think the basic AMO considers that -

I for one, am sick of summer fare.

It's cuz you don't do fun things, 'sept sit around and complain that it never snows in Wilmington deeper than your " 3 inch measuring rod " - if you know what I mean.

You should get a boogie board and hit the beaches. Go canoeing/fishing... Camping. Sit out and watch a concert with a babe. Anyway to actually associate summer with pleasent memories.

I'm simply not a fan of most of those activities....and how ironic that you lecture me on spending more time with women. :arrowhead:

One of the things I love to do, is sit at a bar by the water..with a nice Gin & Tonic. I'm in heaven with that.

Shows who's really insecure. Ha ha. Tip rules! Ray's jealous. All's right in the world -

Folks know what I mean, but I'm not going personal like you did.

I see your point....but I am a low key guy.....not into alot of the protopypical "fun" summer time activities.
