Typhoon Tip
However cold it gets to smite Kevin or conversely Scott aside... has anyone noticed that the NAM is printing out QPF throughout the area during the afternoons through Thursday? Cool pool convection as the trough axis passes overhead. Could be a fun signal there with nice crispy CBs for TCU viewing...
ORH_wxman
Its been a much above normal month for all so far. Coming into today: BDL: +0.2F I'm using BDL for this because its your station you use in the summer.

Logan11
Next winter when we get snow event, we must use BDL for all of CT. They are the station of record and all snow forecasts will be judged by the official amount at BDL. Logan11
I hope he doesn't drink as much as he claims he does. Well maybe by the time he is 50 he can get one of those genetically matched laboratory grown replacement livers. Wait till Wiz wakes up from his drunken passed out euphoria tomorrow and sees his slight risk has turned into slight clouds risk

Nothing upstream..with storms going north and south of us..We'll see I guess...but not looking promising Are the lawns and gardens starting to dry up that way, northern ct has received much more rain, than down here. We have gotten .57 since June 28th, we could use the water, especially with the low dew points heading this way starting wed through the weekend. I hate watering properties without irrigation. Not at all. Everything is lush and green and on my run this AM saw water flowing out of a couple hillsides. We had over 2 inches of rain late last week. It's like a tropical rainsforest with all the rain, heat and humidity we've had this summer

Mr Torchey
Things are drying up a bit here too, but lawns and what not still heavy heavy green. Yeah just over a half inch of rain over nearly three weeks in the middle of summer does not cut it down here.
snowNH
Things are drying up a bit here too, but lawns and what not still heavy heavy green. This heat is really taking a toll on my garden.. Came home and it was wilt city... I watered them and they perked right up... CoastalWx, I posted some pics of my bottom end rot in the Garden thread, do yours look like that? I just pulled them off, maybe it will take the stress off of the plant.

It's like a tropical rainsforest with all the rain, heat and humidity we've had this summer My wife and I were just discussing over dinner how tropical it feels and looks this year. I feel like 3 out of the last 5 summers have tended towards swampy in SW. NE. I miss dry heat.
Logan11
Around 2.5" here on Friday so we are soaked. The ditches in the fields have water in Mid July which is unusual. I'd be happy with a couple weeks of dry wx. Yeah just over a half inch of rain over nearly three weeks in the middle of summer does not cut it down here. We're on the verge of burnout of unwatered grass...a week of dry (assuming tomorrow is a miss) and the lawns here will have a tan....
