Tropopause_Fold
3" thermocline ? probably not much more than that! actually even stellwagon is 67F. i think the lack of strong offshore flow is helping out. we haven't had too many days with ripping WSW winds...prevents the upwelling and also just prevents mixing in general. I like the South Coast after a week of southerlies... That water can get downright tropical. I have seen as high as 79F at Narragansette Beach in S. RI before. Things have to break just right though. OKpowdah
OKC has reached 100 for the 13th day in a row now. The record is 22 days, which will easily be broken. Today is the 21st day of 100+ this year. The record is 50. We've hit 90+ for 41 days. The record is 71, and considering we still have 50 days with the AVERAGE high >90, I think that one is sewn up also

Mr Torchey
78 with a cool breeze on the beach in SRI, beyond perfect. That sounds like heaven Ginx, winds are southerly here, but the sound is warming up fast, not cooling things off like it used to earlier in the summer. 88/68 breeze is wonderful though southerly around 10-

dendrite
That's what happens when your sensor is surrounded by asphalt. Don't know if it's been moved, but I saw a pic of the station a few years ago. No wonder why they are always warm. I think it moved when it went over to automation, but I'm not sure if you saw it before or after then.
