Like Golf? I love it. Mostly because I participate though I do watch it to learn technique. I don't have any Tiger Woods posters or any Phil Mickelson outfits to wear though. I'd much prefer to watch 4 hrs of golf than 4 hrs of baseball. Perish the thought.

Yeah its foolish for kids to have posters of role models. Young or old people have a love for americas past time. The same joy one gets as a kid going into fenway and seeing that green monster, is the same he gets 30 years later makin memories with his children. Ctblizz and his family share a very special moment with his family, there was nothing boring about that 9 inning game yesterday.

Lolz....nothing of what you just wrote shows you know or understand anything about baseball. And it does not matter you where a good hitter in tball 30 years ago.

Please, spare me. Baseball is as intricate as bowling. A silly game that's fun to play but ridiculous as a national religion. Fortunately, its popularity was long ago eclipsed by the NFL. Practice spelling before you come back into the SNE threads with your opinions. We demand a higher standard here in New England. That's one of the reasons we're superior to other regions of the country.

I understand baseball. I played baseball through my teens and was actually quite a good hitter. The fact remains it is one of the most drawn out boring games to watch. The last MLB game I was at I fell asleep. Also, I find grown men idolizing flawed sports stars a bit sad really. Do you have a Yankees jersey that says Jeter on it? Maybe a few posters of A-rod in your bedroom? As far as complexity level, baseball is pretty far down on the list . Play the infield in or out, bunt, steal base, intentionally walk a hitter, blah blah blah. Sorry Ginxy, I know you love BBall too.

Just expressing my personal opinion on the matter. BORING! lol

Perhaps work on the reading comprehension as well. Also, I told Blizzy I was happy he had fun with the kids.

I did not spell anything wrong. I used the wrong context of a word. Please if you going to correct me on stuff, have a idea on what type of mistake I made. We prefer a higher stander down here.

Yes its better for grown men to hump the amount of snow they get in the winter.

Oh and try not to start off with "also" at the beginning of a sentence, its poor sentence structure

I was at a couple of special games to me anyways, Ortiz's game where he broke the HR record for the Sox, ALDS win game 4 against the Angels (the one with the weird base running blunder where Angels got caught stealing home)....it is something special to be at those games. Fan or not, is was one hell of an accomplishment. Jeter is classy dude.

every subforum has their own culture...i don't understand why posters from other regions enter a different subforum, and then get all worked up over the new personalities and the established posting rapport...

Forky was the last one to wander in and start trouble. I'd like to think that I ran him/it off but I think a mod probably told him to desist. It's fun to bat them around like a cat with a dead mouse.lol

isn't this type of cold front about 5 weeks too early...this is what we start waiting for mid to late august that gets everyone thinking about the first snow!

LOL, we'll get another surge of heat possible perhaps near the 18th.

Thursday looks cool though. Maybe 78-79 for BDL?

I went to Mystic Aquarium with my parents and little sister in August of 1981....same trip we camped at Misquamicutt Beach. That was the summer she got her first horse ...and the old fella is still out back at age 36.

Low was 53 here ...another stellar day upcoming.

Oh I have a Jeter shirt...received as a gift. LOL But I'm not into idolatry of multi-millionaires. That said...he is one of the more honorable guys it seems.

Perhaps, I wouldn't rule out a rogue 90 degree day but the clock is ticking and, as Will pointed out recently, it will soon get tougher and tougher to get one in here. I was down at Mystic Aquarium yesterday with the family and boy was it hot down in CT, a dreadful place.

Thursday Night will be chilly in the burbs for sure. Pete's gonna have to curl up to a black bear.
