CoastalWx
Yeah...I didn't mean everyday. Lol. Just read that post again and it sounds like that's what I was implying...I was thinking wed. Or thurs. Oh...lol, I knew what you meant. It would be nice to have 78 on both days. Hopefully.
Tropopause_Fold
Oh...lol, I knew what you meant. It would be nice to have 78 on both days. Hopefully. Yeah certainly doesn't look humid....so even if it's 80f it could be very nice.
Damage In Tolland
I think it had some hail by the south coast for sure. I think we'll pop some more later on in the aftn. Tough to say where, but anywhere from ern and se NY through SNE. Could be another light show for the Cape and Islands tonight, but the bulk might be just to the south. Taking the fam to the Yankees game tomorrow. looks like a torch in NYC with upper 80's..Hopefully we're in the shade
Logan11
I drove past the stadium yesterday (headed to the Bronx courthouse) and yes it was disgusting and humid. I guess none of this cool air can get down there...glad to head back upstate last night. Oh and I see they have put a ball field across the street right on top of the foot print of the old stadium. That area now being part of the public Macombs Dam Park. So a kid can say they are standing where Ruth stood. CoastalWx
Wanna bet another 6 it's not as cool as is being modelled right now? No, because you can easily spin it since models will obviously fluctuate a degree or two at 850. However, I'm pretty sure it will cool down. ORH_wxman
BDL could be 81F on a good NW flow with ample sun while the hills are 73F.
Damage In Tolland
Whatever happens .....before every huge torch....we always have a slight cooldown..look at this time last year. Cool shot 4th of July..then deaths and major major torch

More likely 80-84 or something like that Ryan will be in his feet pajamas curled up next to a fire, while in Maine. I could see a 75-83 type thing between high elevation and low elevations for now. Something like that...or could even be cooler.

We also should keep in mind that BDL's average high for next week is 85F, so an 80-81F is several below avg.

Certainly not the type of wx I'd be hoping for if i was going on vacation in summer. I want it as hot as possible for swimming and storm purposes. CoastalWx
Food for thought going forward. NAO forecasting fail. That big arctic block is not going anywhere. So, while the uber troughing has not exactly verified (although it's been correct)...the insane heat has always never happened or been pushed back.
