Feeling a little better. It's pretty much a case of nourishing/hydrating myself now. I can't remember ever getting my butt kicked by illness this badly in summer before. At least it should be a pleasant summer night wx wise.

You were deathly ill in BWI 06 summer

58/54 out there now. Lots of mostly cloudy obs from NY State, but it's very thin here with a lot of stars visible.

This is no torch. It's just par for the course in July.

High temps......

Sun: 72

Mon: 79

Tue: 81

Wed: 84

Thu: 76

Even though everywhere in SNE has torched and is well above normal this month..I can think of one person who will insist it's been cool and below normal

Wow, that must feel great, wish I were still in the northern Poconos.

75/71 and OVC here in Dobbs Ferry. Gross.

I'm amazed you only hit 76F today. I think the forecast for our house in Wayne County at 1500' was upper 80s. Got up to 90.5F here with haze and high dews, quite a gradient in sensible weather!

Some stations up there reporting clearer sky conditions as you observe.

SLK FAIR 47/45

Rome/Utica FAIR 60/57

Amazing how the Dacks sneak into the 40s every clear night....it's 28 degrees warmer here than SLK.

I know it's ugly down in NYC...I was down there all day on Thursday. :devilsmiley: Not the worst heat for them, but sultry and very warm. I could tell the humidity was a lot lower when I got up to around Kingston and stopped to eat. Had one brief but torrential shower where I was on Chambers Street around 4 PM.

He'll try to convince those of us without the need for a/c that we're going to die. The heat will phail but the cool will over-perform.

I think it will get pretty warm for a couple of days anyways.

We'll see. The heat keeps getting pushed back, but there are signs it may come in.

We can almost be assured the magnitude of that cool shot is going to back off modelwise as we get closer. I'd bet we see nothing lower than lower 80's for highs. BOX has low 70's lol

For who?

Climo is 85 at BDL so even if there are 2 days of 78-80 that would be a fairly sizable departure.

yeah some serious heat out in the plains...looks like it tries to make a run.

before then though...wonder if a good chunk of us stay in the 70s next week?? that's a pretty chilly HP.

Maybe Thursday? Wednesday Night through Thursday Night look awesome.
