seems like it keeps getting pushed back...but verbatim we would *bake* past day 9 or 10 on the euro. we'll see if it ever comes to fruition.

every time we've seen signals for some sort of true surge of heat it's been cut-off by persistent troughing in canada/northeast us. very good model agreement on some extreme warmth in the plains though.

Yeah hopefully the true heat stays west. We've been in this weird patter. We haven't really received the uber troughing some models have beyind day 7, but we also only have spits and spats of this heat.

Today seems like a classic July day. Moderate humidity and temps near 90. 89F now.

yeah very typical kind of set-up too where the previous evening fropa never has the umph to really bust through SNE and i'm left with high 60 dews. LOL. wind has already swung back around to the south down here.

LOL, this was our "cold front" last summer.

LOL. that's amazing. euro would be like 115 for you if you're still there day 9-10.

lol! oh man I can't imagine. Yeah I'm here through the end of the month ... we'll see how hot we can get!

On Tuesday I did a track workout with a couple other guys at 8pm, and it was still 98F ... but somehow felt "not too bad" as I said to one of them

So I think I'm going to be the ultimate wimp with cold temperatures this winter hahaha

Nice hot day

88 sunny

spent the day watering gardens, damage control, have gotten exactly 0.01 rain in the last 9 days, with a blistering sun, storms down across the nyc metro nothing around here. Praying we get the rain tomorrow.

As expected MEGA HEAT WAVE EN ROUTE:thumbsup:

Damn...you guys got warm. Only hit 77.6F here and it's 74.7F now. My dew just hit 49F about 20 mins ago. I feel a bit like MRG typing this all out.

Feeling any better? This has just been amazing wx-wise (albiet boring other than last nights show for some folks).

Great time to be outdoors. Off to drop some money in NH Friday

73/59, a high of 78. (74 @ 2k). A nice day with a breeze and comfortable DPs. Hope you're on the mend.

Feeling a little better. It's pretty much a case of nourishing/hydrating myself now. I can't remember ever getting my butt kicked by illness this badly in summer before. At least it should be a pleasant summer night wx wise.

Glad you are feeling better, summer cold, or a virus? Being sick in the summer is the worst, by far

winds have just come around to the east, please please rain.

Been nice and rainy here in GC. Everything is lush and green. Funny what a sprint the growing season here is. Another 70-75 days and the first frosts will mark the begining of the end. Not a moment to soon.

Glad to hear it. Over the years I've realized how important staying hydrated is sick or not. Every once in a while something comes along to keep you humble. Once you're back to 100% it'll be a bit sweeter.

When are you on Norman until? Any more chases?

Until July 30th. We're almost definitely done with chasing. Death ridge has been in control for a while. Once in a while we get a storm or two pop up on weak boundaries that we can watch in the distance, that just sit in place all afternoon until outflow chokes off the updraft. The last time I went out was June 19th for the moderate risk and PDS severe, and we got nothing lol. The last successful chase was June 14th, and we didn't have to go far. Right in Norman, we saw a high based storm, incredible lightning, 2" hail and microburst with a 70mph wind gust recorded by the mesonet!

High of 106.9F here!

Even though everywhere in SNE has torched and is well above normal this month..I can think of one person who will insist it's been cool and below normal

It has been just a bit above normal for the most part this month, but no mega heat

Daily departures at ORH have been -1,3,1,5,7,6

For me, a torch is +10 or above... just my def... Will says you haven't hit 90F yet? Me neither

Highs so far here this July:

70

77

67

79

82

84

78

Talk about a scorcher of a month.lol Your July torch is almost as wimpy as the non-existent June torch. Time is running out for you to get a truly punishing heatwave to satisfy your bizarre fetish. Tick Tock.
