Matthew-Northern Italy
seems like a really nice place to live...what's your general climate? We can't complain It's not Paradise, but we have a very good wealth with a mixture of tourism, small-middle industry, tertiary etc ... we have lakes, farmland, hills, mountains and glaciers all in few miles ... we have an excellent regional welfare (healt, school, services) ... our towns are generally clean and tidy ... As climate, our winters are quite cold and relatively sunny with a good amount fo snow, even if it's quite variable (some winters bring just 5 inches while the next one 35 inches ...). Summers are warm but rarely hot or muggy, with frequent t-storms in the afternoon. "Translating" it to U.S. (not a simpe thing), I can compare it with northern Kentucky/Southern Indiana or New Jersey.
