Your location should read the surface of the sun. 1952 was a god awful year down there from those stats. .... That little piddly <.25 I got yesterday made me so happy. It's actually quite sad that I was dancing around the office when it was falling. Such a small amount to get so happy over. But with as dry as it's been here in Cobb it's understandable.

Well the axis of storms today is setting up west of GA. Stretching from TN to AL to MS. At first glance it appears GA will not have much rain chances today. I'm expecting FFC to drop the 40% chances down to more like 20% later today.

I figure all of that rain over north GA yesterday probably stabilized the atmosphere too much. I could be wrong though.

The big winners yesterday and this morning are western Paulding county and the area area Carrollton. Some areas have picked up nothing, others like me just a smidgen. But the jackpot winner has been eastern AL. Estimates of 8+ inches in spots. I hate complaining but I'm seriously getting annoyed at the amount of rain here in Cobb. I'm consistently getting the shaft, day after day. My time will come eventually but this is torture for a weather lover.

Yeah, I've been almost as shafted too just down the road... 1.45. It misses me by a couple miles every single day, either to the northwest or the southeast, usually moving towards the southwest. *Very* frustrating!

Pretty bad when the weeds are wilted, maybe soon or more likely someday it will rain again for all of us.:gun_bandana:

What about the FL gulf coast ?

Possibly, depends on where. Savannah is just under a five hour drive, closest point in Florida is like 6 and other parts of Florida are longer. It would all depend on when the storm was striking, ie. day of the week. Mobile is about 5-6 hours and New Orleans is about 8. But short answer probably. I got the itch to chase a couple years ago and the stars have not aligned properly yet.

It's been pouring here for almost an hour, and I have almost 2 inches already. The rain came out of nowhere, with no wind, no lightning, and no hail. This is the most rain I've seen here all summer in such a short time. Here is a photo I made yesterday in southern McDowell County. This will be an amazing year for corn here.

No surprise. I'm watching a shaft in progress get me again. I'm literally surrounded by rain on three sides right now. Normally it would fill in and give me some rain. I have a feeling that this time I get the shaft once again. I'm less than 5 miles away from the rain but oh so far.

My house just got screwed by a mile, maybe less. Watching the radar from work and I want to cry. Unbelievable. Everyone at work is panicing about the storm coming, Tons of thunder and Lightning and not drop.

sigh - i feel your pain! lol - friend sent me a video of his house (4 miles away). a deluge and wind - part of his barn roof (tin) blew off and across a field. great video but i am jealous as heck. sun was out here. those of us in the screw zone seem to be holding on to that screw zone, unfortunately :scooter:

Check the radar loop of Cobb County..... I got a few drops and that was all. I could easily see areas just a mile or two away from me getting 2"+.

Just experienced the ultimate screw job. I wish I could post a radar loop of my location. Some of you would get some serious laughs from it. No other way to explain it other than a big pickard facepalm.
