I can hear thunder from the south and storms building north. I think all hell might break loose soon. Some NASTY storms getting going in NW GA/NE AL.

edit KATL at 95 now, that might be the highest they go with the storms around them right now. I wonder what could have been with optimal conditions today. ie. no high clouds or storms.

SURELY....this is an error.....

temp 90 dwpt 86....HI 121. currently reporting at Lg-Callaway Airport.

Nah whats more its not all that uncommon for the coastal counties, Washington NC station is at Warren Field and they have had a HI of 121 for 3-4 hrs now and anywhere east of Hwy 17 is like that for the most part. I have seen them with a HI of 128 before and that was at 11 am in the morning to boot.

They are currently at 91 over 86 and they are at the headwaters of the Pamlico sound so its big water and low swampy land with none of the sea breeze helping like you find nearer the coast.

You do realize that station is probably not correct. Look at every other station. They're all in the 90-93 range, so that temp reading is probably overdone. As for the DP i have no idea

I think it's correct. That station has been up for a long time many many years. You also have to remember that station is literally a stones throw away from my location at work and we have been in full sun all day. It is quite believable, it could be overdone but I doubt it. My temp at work is pushing 98. Now that is overdone but not by a ton. So yes I think 96.1 is very possible. Dobbins is reading 92 and other stations around here are in the 93-94 range. 96 is very likely imo. It COULD be off but I doubt it. Atlanta Airport is 95 on top of all that.

Edit : That station topped out at 95.5 yesterday and dobbins recorded a high of 96.

101/114 at Smyrna/Rutherford Co. Airport, about 6 miles to my NW

watching the outflow boundary coming off the Highland Rim that is igniting massive thunderstorms that have relatively little movement. We'll likely see something here in the Murfreesboro area around 3 or so.

On a side note, flash flooding underway in Cookeville in Putnam Co. with up to 4ft of water on Neal Street
