buckeyefan1
Would you please answer on your location. You have been asked numerous times and constantly ignore it. Nearly every model is now placing a major ridge right over the SE. It's gonna be very, very hot. The GFS, NAM and Euro all place a 594+ ridge right over the SE. Don't feed the troll I hate to hear that you keep missing by so close too. Sounds like here last Summer. Eventually, your luck has to switch. Sounds like yesterday here. There's anice line quickly moving this way, that may sweep across much of the area. Today has been brutal in terms of humidity here, and no rain yet. I don't see how the eastern Carolina guys stand it with dewpoints in mid and upper 70's. It's nice to know the storms are around, and as long as they are close there is always a chance Nothing here either in a while... looks like we got skipped again - that was basically an entire week with 60%+ probabilities and nothing. did get a shower this morning, with a whopping .16" lol the same places up here have also been hit daily and probably have had that much rain. those of us that kept getting missed, well kept getting missed. the love was definitely not being spread around this week I see I'm in good company Hopefully today is the day
ncjoaquin
.6 inches for the past week and that came yesterday. Seems like I have been on the edge of the action though I have had my share of driving in it coming home from work.

dsaur
It's nice to know the storms are around, and as long as they are close there is always a chance I see I'm in good company Hopefully today is the day Two evenings back I heard two cracks of thunder then we got lashed with near an inch of liquid gold in half an hour. Last evening about the same time I heard two cracks of thunder, then watched on radar as the cell split in two, slid by of either side, the rejoined south of me, lol. So, I take it that I'm only semi-cursed now, lol. T
FoothillsNC
The southern coast of NC, northern SC looks ridiculously dry the last 30 days. Just northeast of CLT, over 15" of rain in Cabarrus County, and just general wetness in a region bound between CLT-HKY-INT-GSO, which is usually the norm for the wettest spots in NC the last few Summers. The actual temp doesn't mean crap, it's all about the heat index. Heat Index is all very subjective and based on human perception. As different people perceive heat index temperatures differently it is not very technical and why you should just look at temperature in general. There are numerous variables that go into calculating a heat index and not every person fits them exactly so a heat index value will have a different effect on different types of people. It gets as technical as your internal body temperature, your weight, height, ect. It's all very subjective and the Heat index value you see is based on a person of a certain size and shape and internal body temperature. An actual temperature is an objective value that is constant no matter what. With actual air temps it is how high does the mercury climb and has no association with variables at all. Sure a heat index temp can give you an idea of how hot it is but from a scientific perspective add in air temps. Your idea is very stupid and we are all more stupid for having listened to it. Use the air temp and heat index not just a HI, for the love of god you are dumb. I think you very well might just be a troll sitting behind a computer in your mom's basement laughing your ass off. I hope you are because if you are not you are one of the dumbest posters I have ever encountered on this board.
