Hank Scorpio
Looks like they're shooting for 11:10 now. I unexpectedly came across someone else who thought that our apartment building parking garage would be a good place to watch. He was nice enough to keep me updated as to the delays and goings-on. Didn't expect to see anyone up there
Kmlwx
I think it'll get off. Too bad it wasn't earlier.

Hank Scorpio
At this point I wonder how much we'll even be able to see from our distance. Guess we have a small chance of finding out in 12 minutes

Hank Scorpio
Nothing or just very little? Kinda looked like a plane taking off way in the distance, but going almost straight up
Ian
Maybe I was just in a bad spot. Did it go NE? All I saw was a little orange dot.
iammrben
Lame Where did you watch from? Up here in petworth it ended up being east of what I'd anticipated and I missed most of it to an obstructed view.

I thought I could get it and the Capitol but I guess it mostly just obstructed my view of the horizon.

wxmeddler
Cool to see but not worth waiting a day for. I got pics but someone who was on the roof with me was moving around to get a better shot, and with the lens zoomed in.. well.
Ian
Well, boo. Any future launches anticipated? I mean, it sure beats watchng dc splits. Mostly a misplay I guess. I thought it was going to go SE. Perhaps I should do hw next time. I think I got at least one poorly exposed shot.

Hank Scorpio
Yeah, sunset I think woulda been way cooler. My vantage point had me directly beneath a super bright light, so my exposure times had to be really short. I quickly stitched together a few shots though...this was the gist of it
HoCoSnowBo
Pretty cool here in Columbia! Very vivid orange fire-ish ball while it was low on horizon. Saw the different stages go off and could see some stuff falling off of the rocket. Got up to a high point in the sky, hovered there for 30 seconds before disappearing. Very much worth the wait! nw baltimore wx
Not picture worthy, but very cool. Fun to be on the roof ridge with my girlfriend and the Sky View app. She got a little anxiety from the steep roof. Me too, but I didn't tell her. By the time I got it it was about at the peak of Apex coming out left side of Capitol dome. My secondary spot would have been better but also less safe at 11p.. ThePhotoGuy
At the last minute, I went to the local park/field. It was pretty neat to see. Much better than I thought. I also saw a fox in my neighborhood which I have never seen before. I thought it was worth watching.
