Chicago Storm
Whatever. I didn't say it would hit 90*F, I said it would make a run towards 90*F and provided my reasons for that claim, and it did. I already congratulated you, don't get butthurt just because i'm f*cking around with you.
Chicago Storm
Gonna be interested to see the next ORD ob. Usually temps start a downward trend by this time of day but normal rules sort of go out the window on a day like this. 4 degree rise in the past hour. Still 88 as of 6PM. cyclone77
Getting awfully close to the first 80 degree dewpoint here since '09. We hit 79 several times last summer, and spent much of the summer above 75, but never could make 80. Sitting at 79.2 right now.
phlwx
Duluth hit 90 (91 specifically) for the first time in nearly 5 years today...longest stretch in history.

SEMIweather
HRRR is wicked for SEMI tomorrow (in terms of heat) If we don't have much cloud debris and/or early convective initiation then Upper 90's are possible.
Hoosier
I like 95 for a high here assuming that convective debris aren't a problem.
hm8
If we don't have much cloud debris and/or early convective initiation then Upper 90's are possible. HRRR paints widespread upper 90s across the area, even with a small area of 100 in SE Oakland county. But it also keeps the dewpoint in the lower 60s/upper 50s, which seems unrealistically low... Loving this heat today...I've been outside for the past hour enjoying it.
Chicago WX
86/76 already at LAF. Quite miserable outside. Hopefully we can get some storms to pop later today, though IND have their doubts it seems.

A little bit of clouds this morning. We might come up a degree or two short of 95 but 900 mb temps near 25C would suggest mid 90's may still be possible. Hoosier
Grissom is the dewpoint capital of Indiana. It is completely surrounded by corn fields. It seemed like LAF beat them numerous times last year. We might have to move the LAF ASOS to the middle of a field to even the fight.
