Chicago Storm
taking some decent sized chucks o' ice. Disorganized/ragged wall cloud/lowering, but it doesn't look impressive though.

Thundersnow12
On another note, that bow-echo to the north is looking rather impressive... Yes it is, and really starting to ramp up its forward speed, OAX warning well out ahead of it, moving east at 55mph. I want to believe it will make it here but il be suprised if it does. Indystorm
Things are heating up with tor warnings for a discrete supercell in nw Mo, a tor at the apex of the bow echo in western IA and one at the southern end of the derecho in se NE.
Thundersnow12
Two tor warnings along the bow now. The southern one/tail end charlie is alot more supercellular and has the "look" and tops to 62kft.

Indystorm
This has been discussed ad nauseam on this forum, but I think tonight will be a night when we definitely wish we had a radar at Kirksville.
Derek30
A bit off topic [country], but there could be a decent severe weather outbreak over Manitoba on Thursday. Really looking forward to that day. Models have been consistent in bringing a cold front through the region late on Thursday. At first glance, the cap looks to be an issue but some cooling does overspread the warm sector by evening. wisconsinwx
Recent RUC runs are showing the convection currently in Western Iowa becoming less organized but basically moving due east, moving into S Wisconsin/N Illinois tomorrow morning. This far north, it is at the expense of no storms developing later on, but around Chicago, they get both morning convection and some afternoon/evening storms. cyclone77
Looks like the northwest Missouri cell is taking a crap. That line in western Iowa looks pretty stout though. KSUX had 67mph winds a short while ago. Looks like it will rake across most of Iowa this evening. Hopefully it makes it here, but I doubt it will be severe this far east. I don't know if it's some sort of radar software issue or not, but the Des Moines radar shows a wide band of strong rear inflow winds behind the bow. Not sure if it's legit or not, but if it is it's very impressive.
