Here are a few quick shots of that cell over Loudoun/NW Fairfax taken between 8:20 and 8:30. This was from about where 28 meets the Toll Rd, looking NW. Also, wide angle lens makes everything look 10x cooler

Wow looks like the mothership. I probably could have gotten a better view of that cell if I drove home from work at HGR late

Still thundering here BTW.

the storm is in a crappy spot for radar.. on the hi res you can see the first blow up seemingly swirl out. everything's trying to spin.. it's just struggling to get there.

Not quite a fisheye, but basically. It essentially multiplies your focal length by .45x

Sweet pics Hank

In the burg, nothing more than a few rumbles of thunder from both cells. .03 of rain fell and no lightining that I saw. Meh.

soupy as all hell outside now though and no mammatus that i saw Ian.

Where is this parking garage located exactly as it looks like a good spot to stage to film lightning.

i figured those would die but that area which developed out in front is nice looking for now. lwx has 20% pop in the new update. sounds like it's the upper level warm front. the cap is increasing tho so we'll see how it progresses.

Been raining lightly for over an hour now, but the heavy stuff didn't make it here as usual. Some Ok CTC lightning, but the clouds at sunset were the highlight of the evening, picture worthy for sure. Some small mammatus followed by a shelf cloud off to the NW.

I didn't even have a view. :(.

looks like most of the stuff to our south fizzled except in elevation. the cell west of culpeper is fairly impressive.. if it keeps pulsing up it could go svr.
