THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STERLING VIRGINIA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL

VIRGINIA...WESTERN MARYLAND AND EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA.

* UNTIL 6 AM EDT MONDAY

* SHOWERS AND SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP

TONIGHT IN NORTHERN AND CENTRAL VIRGINIA...EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA

AND WESTERN MARYLAND. LOCALIZED RAINFALL RATES OVER ONE INCH PER

HOUR ARE EXPECTED IN HEAVIER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.

I mean it's hard to call this thing a MCS. lol.

But, it looks like the heaviest rain is to the north of the low. Worst rainfall will be southern pa northern md in my opinion.

it's not a severe mcs.. but it is remnants of a mesoscale system that impacted the plains/mo valley late y-day. we very briefly may get a closed surface low with it but it's a very small piece of mid-lvl energy associated with it.

Most of this complex should just be heavy rain... maybe some storms with gusty winds 30-40

Highest. lol. Tracking from the very heavy stuff in SW PA right now slowly moving ESE.

according to the nam that --the 500 pocket of energy -- will pivot southeast into areas that get some of the frontrunning stuff too -- someone in wva(most likely)/nmd/nova south of the pa border should 'jackpot' imo.
