Yes, this woke me up... Quite a prolonged set of high winds... I was wondering what was going on because there wasn't any thunder/lightning until the winds subsided. Quite impressive winds though.

Same here, I was trying to figure out what was going on since the winds weren't supposed to pick up until later today.

Got woken up at around 3:30 by the alert radio going off for a severe watch. I was just falling back to sleep and it went off again in ten minutes with a warning (not bad for November!) so I stayed up to watch. Very cool squall line, I started hearing the wind in the distance about 10 minutes before the line hit. Impressive winds came in when the line hit, lasted about 10 minutes.

The weather station at OCESC had 48mph gust as the squall line came thru.

Low of 28f this morning. Ipton has a slight chance of FZRN for the area Sunday night.

Were getting there. Another mention for Wed into Turkey day too.

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY

353 PM EST SAT NOV 20 2010

.LONG TERM /TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY/...

-- Changed Discussion --PROGRESSIVE FLOW CONTINUES ACROSS THE CONUS DURING THE PERIOD

WITH ONE SYSTEM EXITING THE EAST COAST TUESDAY NIGHT...AND THE

NEXT SYSTEM TO AFFECT THE EAST COAST ENTERING THE PACIFIC

NORTHWEST...IN THE NORTHERN STREAM. THIS SYSTEM MOVES QUICKLY

THROUGH THE NORTHERN CONUS AND BRINGS ANOTHER SYSTEM TO THE

AREA...POSSIBLY AS QUICKLY AS LATE WEDNESDAY AND INTO THURSDAY.

A COLD AIR MASS MOVES IN BEHIND THE DEPARTING LOW THURSDAY NIGHT

INTO FRIDAY WITH A GUSTY NORTHWEST FLOW...POTENTIAL TO BE THE

COLDEST OF THE SEASON SO FAR. SOME MIXED PRECIPITATION OR POSSIBLY

A BRIEF CHANGE TO SNOW IN POSSIBLE WELL INLAND BEFORE THE

PRECIPITATION ENDS THURSDAY NIGHT. SOME MODEL DISCREPANCIES APPEAR

BY MIDWEEK AND WITH THE UNCERTAINTY OF ANY ONE DETERMINISTIC MODEL

OR RUN...HAVE LEANED TOWARD THE HPC GUIDANCE WITH SOME BLEND OF

THE 12Z GFS.-- End Changed Discussion --

Good deal Rob. I know you must have been missing 12Z 348H GFS forecast debates.

LOL, don't we all wish we had that much time on our hands!

63.7/38.5 currently 63. Didn't expect for today to be so nice.

Yeah, it was quite a nice day as is this morning.

I have not had much time lately, do we really have a shot at some frozen stuff on Thanksgiving?

Maybe some sleet at the begining if it comes in early enough. FWIW Uptons radar is back online as of an hour ago

18Z NAM has nothing getting in here until Friday, might be slow to show early precip

The 12Z GFS has it arriving somewhat earlier
