Just got clipped by a nice storm to my south. Another good lightning producer as we have had plenty of those this summer. Had some brief very heavy rains and gusty winds but it only lasted for about a minute and a half.

0.08" in the bucket but it would have been a nice bonus if I could have got a direct hit with the drier pattern coming about.

Just got drenched working near hwy 74 in Kings Mtn. Too far from the truck to find shelter from the rain, but it was nice to get cooled off in the shower. Lots of lightning bolting all around and now I can see the tops of the cells in SC. Looks wicked down there. Also I'm feeling the gust front winds.

Well, I am able to say that after better than a month of the rain missing me to the north....yesterday I got a pattern change....finally, I am able to say...it missed me to the south!! It is beginning to be a thing of intense interest, in a very negative sort of way :) Like that awful Braves loosing streak that just went on and on, and on and on after Royster bobbled in the 13th game. There is now a big line of storms headed this way, but notice a defined split between heavy rain shields...it looks like it is trying very hard to ride that rain hole right over my house. I can see the very black clouds and see lightening all over the north. The thunder has me bracketed. The house has even odds that I get rain out of this, but as I'm only 100 drops over .3 for the month, I'm setting the odds at 10 to one I don't see more than a tenth. lol. Stay tuned gambling fans. Well after getting hit by the storm a couple of nights ago that produced a great deal of lightning, I am without internet now (using a friend of mine's computer atm). Don't know when I will be back but for now I won't be able to post as much. Hope to be able to get back on for good sometime soon. When I do, I'm going to switch over from my ISP since AT&T has got on my last nerve with their bills. I'm going to make use of CLEAR (anyone ever used it). Getting a new job soon involving the roofing business. This one pays $100 on the spot every time you give them a call and help out for a while and with the way the storms have been, I suppose I'll be able to get several opportunities to hook up with the crew.

Got to enjoy two good thundershowers today, one that had popped and went for Southern Gaston county and the other (a bit stronger) dumped a heavier shower and a few flashes of lightning. Very refreshing it was. It's great to see a change compared to last year where it was few and far in between but from what I can tell in the near future, it's about to get pretty dry for a while.

Just got clipped by a little storm coming out of Habersham Co heading into Banks & Franklin Cos.

Very little rain, but lots of thunder & lightning.

i was just getting ready to reply to this post earlier when my internet went out...even 3g wasnt really working in the storms lol. i was going to ask which one - had several decent storms move through here today (and yesterday). there has been a lot of lightning and wind lately

other than yesterday, the amounts here have been mostly .25" range (today was .50) but they have added up. almost 3" the last 10 - 14 days or so

Hey guys I'm staying in Hilton head island for a week. Been watching the storms pass to the north with a cool light show at sunset.....along with cloud structures. The front should dip it's way down here in the early morning hours. The storm passing to the north east of me is really starting to fire up some nice lightning . Way cool being able to view them from this distance. It's like being on the ocean back home in NJ.
