Ellinwood
100 or bust. Using today's current high of 97, DCA has averaged a high of exactly 97 over the last 14 days. That's a +8 to +9 anomaly during the hottest period of the year.
EasternUSWX
The models and NWS have been off on predicted highs. 93 here right now was 94 earlier. Probably get to 95. Models/NWS had 91.
wxmeddler
I'm sitting here at a cool 91.8 with a nice 6 mph SW breeze, 3 miles downwind of Round Bay in the Severn River. Edit: Gotta love micro-climates!

Ian
My temps actually cooled the last hour as a mini cell went over my house. I don't think it will make it but it could I guess. Watching the cella going up on the shoreline still. Got a few drops here.

Ellinwood
99/48! Lies! (unless you know something I don't ) For some reason wunderground didn't get the full METAR, which is showing 98/49.
BethesdaWX
VP2 on grass (shade w/ partial sun) showing 99.2 high reached just now with a DP of 49. Winds from the NNW all day so no potomac river influence, or at least very little. Yesterday was 96 as well, hell with this I'm done. Hopefully that sea breeze boundary/outflow/whatever it is makes it here.

Mrs.J
My station is saying 97.8 but WxUnderground is saying 103 for my closest station (Braddock Heights). Weatherbug at the school across the street says 91.
EastCoast NPZ
high of 98 today. forecast of 90. right on target. it would be nice if cold waves, or storms, would overperform like the heatwaves here do. the average high this month is 93.2. how on earth is it possible to average 7+ above normal for an entire month? this is just ridiculous. MN Transplant
99 for the high. Too bad the front is sagging too far south Wednesday. A nice shunt of that heat that is baking OK would have put the all-time record in play.
RIC Airport
99 for the high. Too bad the front is sagging too far south Wednesday. A nice shunt of that heat that is baking OK would have put the all-time record in play. Thanks to some rain and clouds only made it up to 87 at RIC today. Storms came right in the middle of prime daytime heating hours. Too bad we won't be chasing the record for consecutive 90-degree days anymore. BethesdaWX
Man it's actually very nice outside right now, down to 82 degrees. I'm not sure what sparked that outflow boundary, but the DP went from about 50 up to 59 degrees in ~ 90min.

Ian
15 in a row puts us into rare territory for streaks. Will have to check top ones to see what secondary streaks were. I know 88 had an 18 as well as the 21. Longest 90+ 1980 21 1988 21 1872 18 1999 18 1993
