Ian
I honestly doubt it I'll go equal chances of 98/78 an 99/77....lean toward the former ill say 99 or 100 but lean 99.
Lookout
102 there at 11:15am. Unreal. What I'm shocked by is the HI's. 124 in warrenton at 11am is just off the charts absurd for Va. Any one know of the record high HI for VA? (If they keep such records). The winner for most absurd dp is Fort Eustis with temp of 91 but a dewpoint at a shocking 87. And last hour they were 88 with a dp of 88. I'm a little weary of these being legit but If these dps are legit...if they aren't records they have to be damn close...i mean dewpoints approaching 90 freaking degrees is insane, no matter where it is..but VA? Regardless, so many stations with widespread dps in the 80s is crazy humid. We are used to humid weather here in the south but you guys are putting us to shame by a long shot. Herb@MAWS
EWR already broke its record at 11a heh. They might have a shot at all time. EWR always seems to be ''a little too high'' compared to other East Coast cities during heat waves. Makes me wonder ....

Ian
If last year and the earlier heatwaves are any sign, BWI could be the big weiner today. BWI/DCA are basically statistically the same for probability of a 100 day but Balt has consistently been warmer (on the high end) overall.

BethesdaWX
Isn't that what happens when the land surface heats faster than the water surface? Everything in the climate system tends to achieve thermal equilibrium through relativity if I remember correctly. Pretty sure wind turned SW last night at Reagan.
