HEAT WAVE 6 now underway....probably will last 5 days

FDK also jumped a degree to 90 at 10:00 but they're lost that degree in the last hour. Winds there are still SW. My weather station is reading 87F.

I can only find 27 nights in the past 86 years that MRB has had a min above 75 degrees, and 13 of those were during the 1930's. (Didn't happen at all from 1941-80.) Last year we had 2 nights like that. Tonight looks on track for another.

Do BOS, LGA, EWR, PHL all manage to claim higher temps this heat wave than DCA? Sort of surprising if it ends up happening but MET certainly suggests it.

104 for BOS on 0z.. intense. I guess it's possible. The highest heights/850s were pretty north out west, perhaps it translates east that way. NAM usually runs low at DCA tho.. seeing 101 on it is fairly impressive regardless.

On a side note about 10 min ago I saw a flash and heard a bang enough for me to check radar (and then sat, lol). I guess maybe it was a transformer. I dont think my a/c has cut off since I've been home.
